Web Design

There's not a lot for me to say about web design, other than that my interest for it grew out out of necessity. I was asked time and time again if I designed websites and finally started saying "yes" and figuring out the rest as I went. Because of this approach, I've been known to design differently using my foundation of visual arts and knowledge of marketing and the importance of user experience as my guide, which I believe to be a very good strategy for web presence. Below are some examples of my work.

Hard Bean Coffee Official Site

Visit the live site: www.hardbeancoffee.com

The Hard Bean website is one of the first in the world to operate completely within a full-motion video background. The shots were filmed at the Boyertown, PA location and edited to be formed into the background.

The strong, large, unobtrusive section titles allow the video and sound from the cafe to transport the site visitor straight to the table.

This is an example of one of the sections after it slides out when the title is clicked. The background video remains, as does the subtle sound of people talking and the baristas working.

The "menu" section trasports the site visitor to the location of standing in front of the main counter, looking over the menu in order to make a selection.

I've also created the blog site for the Hard Bean Cafe's across the country. An easy to navigate, clean look was carried over from the main site.

Taste Buds On The Avenue

Visit the live site: www.tastebudsontheavenue.com

The Taste Buds website is all about being unique and hand-made. A full re-branding was executed and a subtle watercolor of the shop's facade can be seen on every page.

Continuity was the key for this site, but products needed to be shown as well. Product photography was conducted in order to fill out each section.
